I went for brunch on New Years Day! I was between the chicken avocado sandwich and the smothered chicken biscuit. I got the smothered chicken biscuit and it was so good!! This was my first time here for brunch but I will definitely be going back. The staff was so nice and both of the meals I was deciding between were her fave. She was so excited we took her recommendations.

We went to the Abbey in Lawrenceville for the first time today. It was a beautiful fall afternoon in Pgh. We sat outside and our waiter Brett was awesome. We started with cocktails and the smoked salmon bruschetta.. delicious!! Our dinners included burgers, pork chop, crab cakes. Each one was better than the other! We had great service and great food! Looking forward to the next time!! Thanks Abbey!!

I would like to update my previous review because it had a few typos ( thanks to iPhone's autocorrect) and more importantly, we had a better experience this time. We showed up at our reservation time and were greeted and seated immediately. I like the his restaurant's ambiance, especially its outdoor space. It's beautiful and cozy and comfortable. The service was timely and friendly. I especially liked that when my mom complained about the saltiness of the calamari, the manager showed up and offered to replace the dish. We didn't accept the offer because for me and my wife the dish was not too salty. We ordered calamari, roasted half chicken, and fish and chips. All were tasty and the portions were big. For the dessert, we ordered strawberry shortcake which was delicious. The bar also served us with very good cocktails. We enjoyed our visit.

Overall, I enjoyed lunch at the Abbey. The bar area is dark/moody and eclectic. The booths are comfortable and very conversational. The cocktail menu is extensive and fun! I ordered an aperol spritz and steak sandwich with GF bun (surprisingly no up charge!) and a side of fries. The wait staff were attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. I'm looking forward to coming back!
